Magic Zyks was born in Cologne, Germany. His career was all but a straight line. After school he had work experiences as make-up artist, decorator and photographer before he decided to start a vocational education as advertising merchant in a advertising agency. Later on he worked as a sales promotion manager, graphic designer, chief of an agency and creative director.

In 2001 Zyks starts a second career as erotic art photographer. His work is a combination o portraiture, hidden desires and mystic. He is interested in discovering human longings. His bizarre and provocative work found rapidly friends in the BDSM subculture.
